Wow...where should I start??!! I was diagnosed with breast cancer July of 2022. My GYN referred me to Drs. Ben and Michael Schultz (I will leave a separate review for Dr. Michael). From the time of my first consultation until today, Dr. Ben has been a God send. He is meticulous, and set realistic expectations. He texted me daily after my surgery to ensure I was feeling ok and healing properly. He did an amazing job on my reconstruction. Dr Ben, I can’t even put in words how appreciative I am of this man. I’ve been wanting a reduction for over 8 years now, I was at the point where the size literally weighed me down. He sympathized with me so much immediately and set himself apart from other surgeons I’ve met with by not downplaying my pain. I was so nervous about my surgery but he reassured me at every single step, he gave me his personal number for any post op questions which made me feel even better about choosing him. Every time I had a question, I waited no more than 30 mins for a response which was surprising given the amount of patients I’ve met at his practice. As a black woman, anything dealing with medical professionals is scary but Dr. Ben is the best I’ve ever interacted with. He restored my confidence in my body, went from a 36H to about a D cup. Dr. Ben Schultz operated and successfully removed a dermoid cyst from above my 8 month-old boy's eye. He beautifully integrated the tiny scar into his eyebrow and it is barely noticeable. Dr. Ben is the ONLY person I trusted to do this procedure. He made me and my family feel incredibly comfortable and secure. He was clear about the entire procedure and followed up with us regularly to check on my son's recovery. The scar is so tiny that his teacher of 6 months recently noticed it for the first time. Where do I begin when I discussed the amazing experience I’ve had with Dr. Schultz and his team? Beginning to end Dr. Schultz and his staff were very supportive, comforting, and accommodating. I met for my consult and knew he was the one for me. I met with 2 other surgeons, (and even put a deposit down elsewhere prior to meeting with Dr. Schultz)but backed out because I didn’t feel they were the best for me. I had a seamless consult, pre op, and follow ups. He was available to text which was very convenient for me. His work was amazing. He’s a bit of a perfectionist so I was so happy with my results. He’s does his best to insure you are happy. I didn’t experience extraordinary pain, and my scarring healed really well following my post op instructions. On a scale of 1-10 I’d definitely give him 100/10 highly recommend. More
I’ve written and rewritten this multiple times to condense it down from being a novel. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Ben. His father, Dr. Schultz, did my bilateral mastectomy back in 2018 so I knew right off the bat I was already in excellent hands with Dr. Ben. I went to see him after being so very frustrated with my reconstruction due to size, symmetry and a multitude of other issues for years. He listened intently and didn’t make me feel like a burden or rushed like I’ve felt so many other times in the past with other plastic surgeons. He was able to restore my confidence in myself and after many surgeries since my cancer diagnosis, this was hands down the quickest I have ever healed from a surgery. I don’t know how to adequately describe him through text but just know that if you choose him as your Doctor, it will be one of your very best decisions. His bedside manner is like none other and he makes himself fully accessible to you at all times which let’s be honest, is a major rarity nowadays! He is genuinely just a really kind human who makes you feel like family and that you’ve known him forever. I can only pray that he stays in this area for as long as he practices because the feeling of finally finding a plastic surgeon that “gets me” and is also incredibly skilled, is absolutely priceless! I have been and will continue to recommend him to everyone I know that needs either breast reconstruction or plastic surgery. I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my care after finding him. Dr Schultz is fantastic! I am very happy with my surgical results. He had me come in one week prior to surgery and went over all instructions for my recovery and also filled prescriptions that day too. That was very helpful! He is very thorough and frequently communicates with you after surgery to make sure you're doing well. You get his cell # so you have direct access to Dr Schultz after surgery; that was a big help! He is very kind, caring, and has a wonderful bedside manner. He also has his patients come into the office several times for post-op visits so he can ensure you're healing well. Dr. Ben is truly one of a kind. I had been searching for a surgeon to go to and I'm so glad I found his office and his amazing staff. I initially had reservations about seeing a male doctor for my breast reduction surgery because it was a tremendously emotional decision for me, and I wanted to have a doctor who would be able to understand. I am so glad that I didn’t let that deter me from seeing Dr. Ben—he turned out to be compassionate, patient, and (despite not having breasts himself) was incredibly understanding of my process. His humor and easygoing manner made me feel so comfortable and at ease through the whole process. I’m glad I gave him a chance! I’m also glad that I went forward with the surgery—I had immediate relief from back pain, I’m more comfortable in my body, and Im enjoying the way my breasts look and feel more than I have in 20 years (since I passed cup size DD when I was in middle school). My only regret was not having the surgery years ago. When I had an allergic reaction to the glue used in my surgery I needed additional care, and Dr. Ben was easy to reach, returning my texts even on evenings and weekends. It was also easy to reach his office staff. They were all efficient, accommodating, and pleasant to talk to. I’ve had chronic illness and pain my entire life, so I have seen a LOT of doctors—Dr Ben and his entire office were definitely better than most. After years of enduring back pain with all kinds of treatments-NOTHING worked now even the months is spine injections. It’s taken me some time to find the courage to write this, or really anything, about an accident that resulted in a traumatic wound. Just last week, after 4 months, my body finally fully healed. My wife has been seeing Dr. Michael Schultz since 2006, the father of Dr. Ben Schultz. My wife's second round of breast cancer, diagnosed in 2019, called for more treatment, chemotherapy, mastectomy, radiation and pill form of chemo, than her first time in 2006. Dr. Michael Schultz advised my wife and I that his son was joining the practice. We scheduled an appointment with Dr. Ben Schultz concerning breast reconstruction surgery. Dr. Ben Schultz was extremely kind, knowledgeable, respectful and straightforward answering our questions. His bedside manor is impeccable. The patient was my wife, but he included me in the discussion, welcoming my questions and took time to thoroughly answer our questions and address all issues and concerns we had. He even gave us his cell phone number in case we had additional question later. From a male's prospective, Dr. Ben Schultz, made me feel apart of the decision making process for my wife's treatment. We later had an issue with her tissue expander (put in by another doctor), but Dr. Ben saw my wife in the office as soon as possible and took the necessary measures to resolve the problem. Dr. Ben always kept in touch with us to make sure everything was alright and reassuring us that he was there if we needed him. We will be scheduling the surgery in early 2022. More

Regarding Dr. Schultz, from my very first consult thru my post-op visits, his kindness, knowledge and flexibility were a breath of fresh air. You can tell he really cares about you not only as a patient but also as a person. Dr. Schultz took as much time with me as I needed to discuss my concerns and questions regarding my potential procedure. I never felt rushed or that he needed to move on to the next patient. I walked out of his office feeling completely confident and safe about proceeding with my surgery. The day of my surgery, Dr. Schultz was there WAY before the procedure started, took the time to review everything again and walked me thru next steps. Normally, I can have some anxiety about surgery but between Dr. Schultz and the surgical staff and Northwest hospital, I forgot all about my worries and actually enjoyed the company of everyone there! My wife has been seeing Dr. Michael Schultz since 2006, the father of Dr. Ben Schultz. My wife's second round of breast cancer, diagnosed in 2019, called for more treatment, chemotherapy, mastectomy, radiation and pill form of chemo, than her first time in 2006. Dr. Michael Schultz advised my wife and I that his son was joining the practice. We scheduled an appointment with Dr. Ben Schultz concerning breast reconstruction surgery. Dr. Ben Schultz was extremely kind, knowledgeable, respectful and straightforward answering our questions. His bedside manor is impeccable. The patient was my wife, but he included me in the discussion, welcoming my questions and took time to thoroughly answer our questions and address all issues and concerns we had. He even gave us his cell phone number in case we had additional question later. From a male's prospective, Dr. Ben Schultz, made me feel apart of the decision making process for my wife's treatment. We later had an issue with her tissue expander (put in by another doctor), but Dr. Ben saw my wife in the office as soon as possible and took the necessary measures to resolve the problem. Dr. Ben always kept in touch with us to make sure everything was alright and reassuring us that he was there if we needed him. We will be scheduling the surgery in early 2022. More
Dr. Ben Schultz and his staff are one of those medical practices that you actually look forward to visiting. Everyone there is so warm, friendly and accomodating. However, they maintain a very high level of professionalism that assures you that you are in good hands! Regarding Dr. Schultz, from my very first consult thru my post-op visits, his kindness, knowledge and flexibility were a breath of fresh air. You can tell he really cares about you not only as a patient but also as a person. Dr. Schultz took as much time with me as I needed to discuss my concerns and questions regarding my potential procedure. I never felt rushed or that he needed to move on to the next patient. I walked out of his office feeling completely confident and safe about proceeding with my surgery. The day of my surgery, Dr. Schultz was there WAY before the procedure started, took the time to review everything again and walked me thru next steps. Normally, I can have some anxiety about surgery but between Dr. Schultz and the surgical staff and Northwest hospital, I forgot all about my worries and actually enjoyed the company of everyone there! FAST FORWARD - I am THRILLED with the results of my cosmetic surgery and wouldn't hesitate to return to Dr. Schultz should I seek additional care. I am actually going to see him next week with my daughter who will also have a consult with him. You know when you trust a physician with your kids, that's saying A LOT! More
Dr. Ben Schultz was very informative regarding the procedures available to me for breast reconstruction. He took his time to walk through all the options, pausing to answer any questions that I had along the way. When I raised concerns over a very small risk, he eased my concerns by offering a test to determine if I was a good candidate for the procedure. He was kind, caring and patient. He made me feel at ease. I highly recommend Dr. Schultz if you're looking for a practice that goes the extra mile for their patients. More
From the beginning, Dr Shultz was the calm spirit I needed to guide me through the difficult process of surgery. He made himself available (day and night) for any question I had, great or small.
